Walther Strong Sleeper Tape protects your timber sleepers at their most vulnerable point, where they meet the ground. It creates a waterproof, weatherproof seal that guards against moisture, rot, fungal decay and UV damage.
Quick to apply with a peel-and-stick design, it is more durable and longer lasting than bitumen paint, saving you time and effort. Suitable for both treated and untreated timber, with a 25-year bond guarantee and temperature resistance from -40°C to +93°C. Available in two widths: 200mm, ideal for small vegetable patches and raised beds, and 250mm, ideal for large growers.

How To Apply
- Measure and tear the tape to the length you need
- Position on the sleeper, making sure the exposed area is completely covered
- Install the sleepers in position
Bottom sleeper: place the tape on the exterior face, leaving 50mm along the base. Fold the tape under the sleeper along the bottom edge, then bring it up the interior face so the inside is protected too.
Subsequent sleepers: line the tape up with the top edge of the interior face, run it down the interior face, and overlap the tape on the sleeper below by 50mm to stop water getting in. Work from bottom to top so water sheds correctly, and keep the tape smooth and tight with no gaps or wrinkles.
