Davids Timber LTD offers a square cutting service using a chop saw for reclaimed railway sleepers, a mitre saw for new sleepers and a circular saw for timber posts and boards. Before placing an order which requires cutting, please take into consideration that the chop saw's blade's thickness (saw kerf) takes approximately 5mm on each cut, whereas a mitre saw's and circular saw's blade takes approximately 3mm. We cut the timber crosswise only (reducing length), we do not cut lengthwise (reducing width/depth) nor at an angle. The prices for cutting are as follows:

- Reclaimed railway sleepers - £7.20 per cut.

- New railway sleepers - £6 per cut.

- Boards and fence posts - £3.60 per cut.

In order to get a quote for a delivery, please proceed to the checkout of our online store, enter your address details and it will automatically calculate the price or alternatively you can contact us with details of the delivery address, and a rough quantity of the type of material you are after. Please take into consideration that flatbed van/hiab rigid lorry deliveries are kerbside only (which means that the goods will be unloaded somewhere safe near the van/lorry, most likely on a driveway). On deliveries there is only a delivery driver, hence please make sure that you will have additional help if the goods need to be moved anywhere else. We are able to provide deliveries using the following vehicles:

- A flatbed van (Ford Transits, either a tipper or a dropside).

- A curtainsider articulated load (Provided that there is unloading equipment and enough space for an artic load at the delivery address).

- A 30ft long 18t rigid hiab lorry (Or larger if necessary).
