"L." in the title stands for "Like", the sleepers are Eastern European hardwood, they can be any hardwood species.
The prices are for a single sleeper.
These are new hardwood garden sleepers freshly machine cut. This is “green” wood, therefore please keep in mind that it might move and split, especially in the summer when it dries out and tries to match the air moisture content as well as the temperature. This is a natural process, not a defect.
The sleepers are brown pressure treated using Tanalith + Tanatone to ensure their longevity. It is recommended to stain them with clear oil, which will keep the sleepers moist, allowing them to dry slower in a more controlled way.
Keep in mind that it is normal for the new wood to change colour to lighter brown and eventually silver grey due to the bleaching effects of the sun. If you’d like to avoid it, regularly stain the sleepers using a UV protection oil.

Please note that in the case of direct installation in the ground, in order to extend the lifespan of the wood, we recommend sealing it with bitumen or lining it with a plastic membrane.

We are able to cut railway sleepers crosswise to your specification, but we aren't able to cut them lengthwise.
